In yesterday's edition, we reported that the national carrier, Ghana Airways had withdrawn from the joint venture partnership it was negotiating with Nationwide Airlines of South Africa. The announcement of the withdrawal came officially from Dr. Richard Anane, Minister of Roads and Transport. In a comment in the story we had said, "This latest decision would only go to confirm what critics have argued all along, that Ghanair is becoming quite a problem child for the government".
