Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim-Imam was victorious on Sunday beating four other contestants to clinch the Borno State gubernatorial ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Out of the 185 votes cast in the repeated gubernatorial primaries, Ibrahim-Imam polled 177, representing 95 per cent of the votes cast.

Alhaji Abba-Gana Bufura, Alhaji Gambo Lawan and Hon. Mohammed Wakil scored no votes. Alhaji Maina Maaji polled two votes, while six ballot papers were voided.
