Statesman News Service KOLKATA, Jan. 30. - The Union civil aviation minister, Mr Shahnawaz Hussain, has apparently taken it upon himself to take on the Deputy Prime Minister, vis-a-vis the status of the mosque adjoining Kolkata Airport's second runway.

Mr LK Advani had favoured shifting the mosque which has been the centre of a controversy. But after a meeting with Mr Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee here today, Mr Hussain said there was no need to relocate the mosque as the state would divert a road to enable extension …
