Sure, it's good to be Carson Palmer these days, as his draft-day wait figures to be shorter than his Heisman speech. But at least one NFL scout is putting on the brakes when it comes to proclaiming him a can't-miss kid. The rap is he's mechanical in the pocket, and even the folks at SC are preaching patience (compare that with Byron Leftwich, who's being called a Chad Pennington-plus by Marshall men). After watching Carson, our scout whispered, "Sometimes I wonder if I'm not looking at Vinny Testaverde or Trent Dilfer."
