Sarah Nilsen, 22, waits tables twice a week at the Newcomb Farms restaurant in Quincy, Massachusetts. She also works full-time at a Boston insurance agency while husband Jeffrey attends the University of Massachusetts-Boston.
On December 10th of last year, Mrs. Nilsen stopped to check her mail on the way to a grocery store. Opening an ordinary-looking envelope, she was startled to find a $10,000 check made out to the couple's 11-month-old son, Andrew. The sender was an elderly widower who dines at the restaurant every Wednesday evening.
