A controversial report on maternity services in Scotland, branded as "anti-women" by campaigners, is to be considered by NHS Tayside.

The report's recommendations could signal the closure of the hard-fought for Perth Royal Infirmary consultant-led maternity unit.

NHS Tayside boss Gerry Marr yesterday confirmed the report, which he was involved in drawing up, would be considered when the reprieve on the Perth hospital's maternity unit ends in December.
