SYDNEY, Oct 25 Asia Pulse - Suncorp-Metway (ASX:SUN) chief executive John Mulcahy today said the group expected ordinary dividend growth of 10 per cent in 2006/07.

Speaking at the company's annual general meeting today, Mr Mulcahy said the diversified financial group had started the financial year on a positive note and performance was in line with expectations.

"Suncorp delivered another strong result in 2006 despite increasing competitive pressures," Mr Mulcahy said.

"Our immediate priority is to ensure Suncorp's existing businesses continue to deliver strong standalone performance, while leveraging logical synergies.
