Four key notes
1. VPN: A significant part of the convention was dedicated to virtual private networks, a clear signal that VPN solutions are maturing and may revive stalled markets like public key infrastructure (PKI).
2. Responsibility: There was some debate over the distribution of responsibility, i.e. defining the roles played in the security equation by vendors, consultants, providers, and internal staff. Thus besides hardcore technical issues, a significant part of the event was also focused on managing security, security awareness of management and staff, educational strategies like cascade training?and who is suppose to make all of it happen.
