MELBOURNE, Jan. 4 MediaNet International-AsiaNet -- Inky Tulloch and the CAT Team won the 2003 New Zealand Super Truck Championships after a nail-biting finish at the Manfeild circuit on the South Island.
This is the third time Inky has steered the C-12 powered Freightliner into first place in what is becoming a challenging and demanding New Zealand series. "After a tough season in Australia where we won the Australian Championships, it was terrific to sweep the Australasian titles again with a win in New Zealand," said CAT Team driver, Inky Tulloch.
"We started the New Zealand series with a second place at Timaru, then won at Pukekohe. Now weve won here at Manfeild."
"I'm so proud of every member of the CAT Team," Inky said. "They stayed focused throughout the season and developed a tight and very professional approach to racing."
The Manfeild series was tough right from the qualifying round. The CAT Team qualified in first place and then maintained this position for the first race on Sunday.
