TOKYO, Feb 4 Asia Pulse - In an experiment designed to see how advertising on the Internet can be effective, Yahoo Japan Corp. (TSE:4689) showed that such ads can help double sales of a particular product.
The portal operator plans to provide the results of its experiment to ad agencies and others to attract advertisers to Internet ads. Yahoo Japan conducted the experiment for one month from Oct. 24 last year, placing online ads for a lotion sold for 1,800 yen (US$14.93) at particular convenience store chains.
