KOREAN GOV'T TO HOLD SPECIAL MEETING OF ECONOMIC MINISTERS.
SEOUL, Feb 4 Asia Pulse - The government will hold a special meeting of economic ministers today to discuss policies options to cope with rising international crude oil prices.
The session is planned after the cabinet meeting at Cheong Wa Dae, with participants expected to discuss measures related to the feasibility of putting into effect broad energy conservation measures as well as lowering taxes levied on petroleum goods.
The rise of the Dubai brand crude past the US$29 per barrel mark during the Lunar New Year holidays necessitated the impromptu meeting that will be chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Finance and Economy Jeon Yun-churl.
