KOLKATA, Feb 4 Asia Pulse - Fast moving consumer goods giant Hindustan Lever Limited (BSE:HLL) on Monday made a foray into the direct selling segment with the launch of Hindustan Lever Network.

HLN's business head K K Rajesh told reporters here today Network, a division of Hindustan Lever, would launch five categories of products having Aviance and Lever Home as sub-brands.

HLN would initially introduce products in home-care, kitchen-care, laundry-care, male grooming and food categories.

On direct selling, he said the size of the industry in the country was valued at Rs 17 billion (US$356 million), out of which the eastern region had the highest market share.
