Beverley: Police are trying to trace a driver who failed to stop after crashing into a pub.

The driver of a car, believed to be grey Citroen, appears to have lost control turning right into Eastgate from Lord Roberts Street.

The car struck the Tudor Rose pub, damaging a cast-iron drainpipe and an electric cable.

No structural damage was caused.

Police recovered a part from the vehicle after the incident, which happened on Thursday at about 10am.
