The George Markey Memorial Pipe Organ Encounter Scholarships, sponsored by the Metropolitan New Jersey Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, are accepting applications for both collegiate and high school scholarships.
George Boone Markey, a graduate of the Curtis Institute, was a professor at Westminster Choir College in Princeton. He was a renowned organist who toured widely.
All applicants must be residents of New Jersey. College applicants can be enrolled at any institution in the world, or study in New Jersey, and must be college freshmen or sophomore organ students. High school applicants must currently study piano and/or organ.
