SEOUL, Jan 2 Asia Pulse - After five days of drops, Korean stocks rallied above the 630-point mark on individuals' net buying on the first trading day of this year.
Starting 5.48 points higher at 633.03 Thursday, the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 5.18 points, or 0.70 percent, to 632.73 as of 10:25 a.m.
Volume stood at 170.5 million shares on a turnover of 220.2 billion won. Gainers led losers 478 to 206 with 52 unchanged.
