SEOUL, Jan 2 Asia Pulse - South Korea has requested a delay in its answer to the questionnaire by the United States on alleged state subsidies to Korean chip makers, according to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy.

"The questionnaire is so extensive that it will take more time," a government official said, asking to remain anonymous.

The ministry called for one or two more weeks to complete the questionnaire, whose original deadline was January 13, according to him.

Therefore, the U.S. full-scale probe into alleged unfair trade practices can be postponed until February with its preliminary ruling on subsidies likely to be put off until the end ...
