AUSTRALIA'S MIG TO IMPLEMENT HIGHER CHARGES ON CANADIAN MOTORWAY.
SYDNEY, Jan 2 Asia Pulse - Macquarie Infrastructure Group (MIG) (ASX:MIG) today said higher toll charges will be implemented for its part-owned motorway in Toronto, Canada, from next month.
Coming into effect on February 1, MIG said tolls on the 407ETR will increase by as much as 24.5 per cent.
Light vehicle rates during peak traffic hours will increase 12.6 per cent to 12.95 cents per kilometre, from 11.5 cents.
Peak hour rates apply on weekdays from 6am to 10am, and 3pm to 7pm.
Off-peak rates will increase 5.2 per cent, to 12.1 cents per kilometre from 11.5 cents per kilometre.
