DUBAI, Jan 2 Asia Pulse - Saudi Arabian Airlines will fly to Kochi as its fourth Indian destination and Air India will raise the number of flights to the kingdom from six to nine under a new agreement.
The agreement was reached in Jeddah yesterday after two days of talks between the two countries covering the entire spectrum of issues relating to civil aviation matters, according to a statement of the Indian Consulate in Jeddah.
The Indian delegation was led by K. Roy Paul, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Saudi side was headed by Ali A.R. Khalaf of the Presidency of Civil Aviation.
The talks were held in an extremely cordial atmosphere and were concluded successfully. According to the agreement, the number of flights between Saudi Arabia and India will go up by a quarter from 24 to 30 per week.
