NEW DELHI, Jan 2 Asia Pulse - Indian telecom major Bharti Televentures' (BSE:BRTI) net debt figure is likely to be about Rs 32.5 billion (US$677.2 million) on March 31, 2003 compared to about Rs 27 billion at present.
"We expect the net debt figure to touch about Rs 32.5 billion as of March 31, 2003. This would be by way of borrowings, through External Commercial Borrowings and others through Export Credit Agencies," company sources told PTI.
The amount would be mopped up for expansion and upgradation activities with respect to segments such as cellular, basic and long distance.
"The company's net debt figure stood at Rs 25.07 billion as in September 2002, and the same is expected to be about Rs 27 billion at present," they said.
