NACM-National's Membership Department maintains the national central database of over 100,000 records; adding, deleting, and editing records to keep member information current. They are responsible for over 25,000 affiliate records as well as the membership records of the Government Receivables Group, the Loss Prevention Group, FCIB, and the Credit Research Foundation. Working in conjunction with the Communications department, the membership staff sees that Business Credit magazine is delivered to over 27,000 subscribers.
Cynthia Hood, Director of Member Services
Cynthia Hood, Director of Member Services, has been with National for over 13 years, starting in 1989 with the Business Credit magazine staff and then, with the Loss Prevention department. The following year, Cynthia moved into the Accounting department, working in the area of receivables, and later worked in the area of payables. In 1996, Cynthia was promoted to Director of Accounting, and in 1998 to Director of Member Services. Currently, Cynthia still serves in both of these capacities. As well as working closely with the membership staff on all phases of central database maintenance, membership statistics, and member services, Cynthia works to bring quality member discount programs to NACM members. The current member discount programs available as a member of NACM are Airborne Express, Citizens Conferencing, GEICO, MBNA, and American Check Management. Working with the Business Credit magazine mail house, she maintains and provides the label files to ensure magazine distribution.
