LAST week a delegation from the Ulster Farmers' Union met with the Environment Minister, Angela Smith MP to discuss the implementation of the Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) regulations in Northern Ireland.
The UFU delegation included the President John Gilliland, Deputy President Campbell Tweed, Thomas Douglas (Poultry committee Chairman), Mervyn Rea (Pigs IPPC Working Group), Eric Reid (Moy Park) and Aileen Smith (Secretary Pigs and Poultry Committee).
