[Announcer] Today Greece begins its six-month presidency of the European Union. The signing of a treaty on admitting 10 new states to the union is planned for 16 April in Athens under the Greek presidency. The expansion of the union is to take place on 1 May next year.

The European affairs minister, Danuta Huebner, has emphasized that in the next few months, the union and the candidate states will be preparing the membership treaty. She expressed the hope that Greece will manage to meet all the deadlines.
