Parents, teachers and officials of Albanian language classes in secondary schools in Kumanove [Kumanovo] have rejected the preliminary report of the World Health Organization [WHO], according to which "certain sociological and ecological factors have contributed to these incidents and have worsened the welfare of the children, their parents and their teachers".
The issue of poisoning of Albanian secondary school students in Kumanove continues to remain a mystery and subject to many manipulations. Tensions ran even higher after the publication of a preliminary report by the Health Ministry and WHO experts, according to which the cause of poisoning symptoms that had been manifested by 215 students were unknown.
"It was impossible to identify a common cause of all those health problems," the report reads. Parents, teachers, students and officials in charge of Albanian classes in secondary schools in Kumanove have received this report with indignation and have rejected it.
