Sanaa, 1 Jan: Tens of thousands participated in the funeral of the martyr Jarallah Umar, deputy of the General Secretary of the Yemeni Socialist Party [YSP], to his final resting place [sentence as received].
The senior YSP's leader was assassinated when he attended the third conference of Islah Party congress last Saturday [28 December 2002].
The mourners come from different provinces of Yemen to participate in the funeral. They raised Umar's photo and placards condemning the assassination and extremism and violence.
