Democratic Party of Kosovo leader Thaci issues New Year message.

Prishtina [Pristina], 30 December: PDK [Democratic Party of Kosovo] chairman Hashim Thaci has sent his greetings to the Kosova [Kosovo] citizens with the best wishes for the New Year. He expressed his wishes that the year 2003 be the year of realization of our common aspirations for Kosova's independence and democratization.
"The traditional celebration of the New Year concludes a year of endeavours, achievements, joys and worries in the personal as well as in the social aspect. It also brings us a new year of hope and goodwill," the PDK chairman's greeting message reads.
According to him, the year that we are leaving behind was a year of results for Kosova, but also one marred with problems, which require urgent solutions for the benefit of the citizens.
"In cooperation with the international community, we have achieved good results in developing the democratic processes. Political parties have shown solid political values and commendable degree of democratic emancipation. Citizens on the other hand have shown increasing maturity, responsibility and political culture," Thaci's message continues. He also expresses optimism that "the year ahead will open new prospects for Kosova and deepen further the political, civic and interethnic life ...
