Square Enix Pres. Wada Bullish about FY '04 Earnings.

Tokyo, July 23 (Jiji Press)--Square Enix Co. President Yoichi Wada has expressed a sanguine outlook for the game software maker's earnings in fiscal 2004 ending in March 2005.

In a recent interview with Jiji Press, Wada said the company, created through the merger of Square Co. and Enix Corp. in April 2003, is believed to have attained solid earnings in the April-June first quarter of fiscal 2004.

Its operating profit ratio, which reached over 30 pct in fiscal 2003, is seen to remain above that level in the current year, Wada said, noting the merger has helped streamline the present firm's operations.
