Fiji Media Council chairman Daryl Tarte says the review of the Broadcasting Act and the Television Decree is a move in the right direction. Tarte says the Broadcasting Act is outdated and requires changing.

"The Broadcasting Act we have at the moment came out in 1953, so there are a lot of changes that needs to be made to it in keeping with the situation we have in Fiji today," says Tarte.
