IT'S TOO JUNGIAN to say we all have an archetypal Jesus informing us. But Sophie Masson was on the right track in her article "Cathedral of the Imagination" (Quadrant, May 2004) where she identified the long trail of art in painting and film that informs Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ and partly explains its power.
