A Serb arrested in this northern port city for his alleged involvement in last year's assassination of Serb Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic appeared before a public prosecutor Sunday under heavy guard.

Dejan Milenkovic, 34, was arrested late Friday night on an international warrant after more than 15 months on the run.

He is one of 13 crime figures and paramilitary members charged in the March 12, 2003, sniper slaying of Djindjic, Serbia's first democratically elected prime minister since World War II, in front of government headquarters in downtown Belgrade.
