Tanghalang Pilipino presents a co-production with the Australian Embassy of Speaking in Tongues. Celebrated film and stage writer Andre Bovell (Strictly Ballroom, Lantana) introduces the audience to nine characters - played by four actors - whose lives and loves interlock. He brings the audience into a world of fading love, obsessive love, deception, betrayal and loss in a modern plot of parallel tales. The play is directed by Tanghalang Pilipino's artisitc director Herbert Go. The cast members for the Filipino version are Irma Adlawan-Marasigan, Angela Garcia, Alan Paule and Ricky Davao. Tanghalang Ateneo, the resident theater company of the Ateneo de Manila Loyola Schools, presents Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People, the first of four plays for its 26th season. The play is a tale about a scientist who sets out to expose the pollution in the spring waters of his resort town, and finds himself persecuted by the town citizens led by his brother, the town mayor.
