PASADENA, Calif. -- The launch of NASA's Aura spacecraft atop a Boeing Delta II rocket is rescheduled for Thursday, July 15. Launch is set for the opening of a three-minute window at 3:01:59 a.m. Pacific Time (6:01:59 a.m. Eastern Time).

Engineers and mission managers have analyzed the issue with the battery on the second stage of the Delta II launch vehicle that caused this morning's postponement and have determined that this is no longer a constraint to launch.

Weather remains a concern for Thursday morning's launch attempt. The current forecast continues to call for only a 60 percent probability of acceptable weather conditions. …
