As professor of educational leadership at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr. Catherine Marshall accepted an award honoring her for "scholarship, activism and community building on behalf of women and education" at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) in San Diego in April, where she was VP of the politics and policy division.
