Sears may have found more real estate for its Sears Grand expansion with a Kmart deal inked June 30. The Hoffman Estates, Ill., retailer will purchase as many as 54 Kmart stores, spending up to $620 million. The exact purchase price, number of stores and locations were not disclosed.

In a separate transaction, Sears has agreed to lease seven stores from Wal-Mart, giving it a total of 61 possible new locations for Sears Grand. Company officials have hinted at a nationwide rollout of their newest format, which combines Sears' …
