MICHAEL Flatley has spent a small fortune on James Joyce memorabilia - although the dancer was not the buyer of a sexually explicit love letter from the author to his lover Nora Barnacle.

That went to a mystery buyer for an amazing [pounds sterling]240,000 at a special auction at Sotheby's in London. The bid was a record for literary memorabilia - more than four times the guide price of between [pounds sterling]50,000 and [pounds sterling]60,000.
