WHILE Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi calls for more transparency and less bureaucracy, the Education Ministry seem insistent on red tape.
Malaysian Schools Sports Council (MSSM) secretary general Abdullah Abdul Kadir, in insisting he was following procedures, said the 2004 calendar will only be released on Feb 17.
The media, however, is still required to write in to the Education Ministry director general, Datuk Abdul Rafie Mahat for clearance.
However, it would seem, based on a tentative calendar Timesport has obtained, MSSM are cutting it very thin in deciding to only release the dates …
