PETALING JAYA, Wed. - Berita Harian journalist Karim Sulaiman tonight bagged the Kajai Award, the country's highest honour for journalism, at the Malaysian Press Institute 2001 awards ceremony.
He won for his series of articles on the mismanagement of Tabung Haji's investments.
Karim, head of Berita Harian special unit, took home RM10,000, a gold medal and certificate.
New Straits Times Johor Baru-based journalist Dan Guen Chin was adjudged the best sports journalist in the English section while Malay Mail photographer Effendy Abd Rashid won in the media photo category.
