IN the 2001 Kuala Lumpur Sea Games, Bukit Jalil Sports School contributed 28 gold medals out of Malaysia's 111 gold grand total.

That year, 58 of their students snatched 25 per cent of the total, but this year, the haul is expected to drop significantly.

"BJSS will have 44 students in the Vietnam Games contingent this year, but we do not expect to reach the 2001 haul because most of our athletes are newcomers to the Games," said school principal Jalaludin Othman.
