KUALA LUMPUR, Sat. - Cuepacs today welcomed the Government's move to allow retiring civil servants to accumulate 120 days paid annual leave in lieu throughout their service.

Secretary-general Datuk Abdul Rahman Manan said members were happy with the decision to increase the "golden handshake" from 90 to 120 days.

He was commenting on a circular on the matter issued yesterday by Public Service Department director-general Tan Sri Jamaluddin Ahmad Damanhuri.

"We thank the Government and hope civil servants will continue to improve the quality of service," Rahman said today.
