Oct. 24--Finding a quality center with leadership skills was one of the top priorities on the Islanders' offseason wish list. And Christmas came early for them when they acquired Mike Sillinger. Sillinger, a 15-year veteran, was instrumental in the Islanders' 4-3 overtime win over Carolina on Saturday.
