Harassment by former campus police officer Larry Phillips was just part of the job for Caren Sharpe, a 10-year employee at St. Louis Community College who moved from dispatcher to secretary to the chief of police.
He repeatedly asked the 51-year old mother of a teenager for sex, especially after she got divorced in 1997. In 2004 he walked into her office and waved a gun at her, saying, "If I can't have you, no one can," then slowly pulled the trigger but it did not fire, she testified.
