Default rates in the U.S. leveraged loan market declined to 1.18% in September, its lowest level since April 2005-as reported by Standard & Poor's Leveraged Commentary and Data (LCD). This comes after holding steady at 1.36% in August and July, a low recently affirmed by Moody's Investors Service.
