NEWARK, Calif. -- Transportation Security Administration Approves Smaller Machine to Screen Passenger Baggage
InVision Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:INVN) today announced that its CTX 1000 explosives detection system (EDS) has been certified by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to detect explosives in passenger checked baggage. The CTX 1000 system is a smaller and significantly less expensive version of InVision's EDS systems currently in use at airports throughout the United States. The relative size of the CTX 1000 system is designed for locations where a full size EDS unit may not be practical.
