PETALING Jaya's 50th anniversary was highlighted by the Tamil Nesan yesterday with a special article that spoke eloquently of the many changes that have taken place in the municipality since 1953.

Complete with old photographs, the piece commented on how the satellite town had been transformed from a tinmining centre to a modern township boasting the best residential areas in the country.
