THE fifth edition of the Kuala Lumpur International Marathon received an energy boost when PowerBar signed a RM30,000 sponsorship deal to support Sunday's race.
With some 1,000 athletes expected to sign up for the marathon proper, PowerBar's sports nutrition manager Mohamed Rahimi Abdullah said although this was the company's first venture into the Kuala Lumpur International Marathon, they are hopeful of building a lasting relationship for future races.
In fact, Powerbar have teamed up with the Pacesetters Athletics Club to distribute the PowerGels to all marathoners on race day.
