KUALA TERENGGANU, Fri. - Terengganu Umno has claimed that one of the 22 councillors of the Kuala Terengganu Municipal Council (MPKT) appointed for this year by the Pas Government is a bankrupt.
Its information secretary, Wan Hisham Wan Salleh, said the person was also councillor last year.
According to Wan Hisham, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang was not correct when he stated that only those who had declared their financial status and fulfilled certain requirements set by the Pas Government would be appointed as councillors.
