UNITED NATIONS, June 30 (ONASA/AFP) - Balkans nations could be helping war crimes suspects escape justice by delaying their hand over to the UN tribunal until it is too late for them to stand trial, court officials said Tuesday. Carla del Ponte, prosecutor for the UN court for the former Yugoslavia, asked the UN Security Council to ensure it would remain in business until the most-wanted fugitives of the 1990s Balkans bloodshed were tried.
