MUMBAI, July 1 Asia Pulse - India's 12 major ports and 33 minor ports have complied with all guidelines laid down by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) for implementation of International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) code, which becomes effective across the world from today.

"All the plans for these ports have been approved and the same has been communicated to IMO, which has listed the names on its website," Nautical Advisor to government M M Saggi told PTI here Wednesday.

The plans for three ship repair yards, including the ones located at Vishakapatanam and Kochi, have also been approved, he said.
