SEOUL, July 1 Asia Pulse - South Korean manufacturing companies' business sentiment in June fell two months in a row due to a slump in domestic demand, the country's central bank said Thursday.
During the reported month, the business survey index (BSI) for the manufacturing sector dropped to 78 from 80 in the previous month, the Bank of Korea (BOK) said.
The index, based on a poll of 2,452 manufacturers, had risen month-on-month in April and March before falling in May.
A reading of less than 100 means that companies that are pessimistic about their business conditions outnumber those who expect improvements.
