It is nice to know that the bastion of the UK insurance industry, the Chartered Insurance Institute, is so safety conscious. While there the other day, one saw someone using the new London travel card - the Oyster Card - to gain privileged access into the CII's headquarters in London.

It would appear that it is that time of year again, given the prominence of a recent article in a national newspaper about the Serious Fraud Office inquiry into Independent Insurance finally coming to a close. Didn't one read that story last year? And for all the speculation, what did the SFO have to say? "The investigation is under way." Mmm, I think I've read that quote before, three years ago.
