Fraud: Fighting the Battles, Winning the War
22 September 2004 - Haberdashers' Hall
Post Magazine's popular annual conference looking at the problem of fraud, the public policy issues it raises, and the latest responses by the insurance market to the massive losses through fraud, kicks off the autumn conference programme.
This will be a very timely event as the Home Office is currently carrying out a consultation on how the law on fraud could be improved.
A key theme of this conference will be partnerships within the market and with key external interest groups such as the police, the regulator and the media. The programme will start with a strategic overview of the threat posed to the industry by fraud, putting insurance fraud into a wider context. It will look first at the strategies for effective fraud prevention and investigation before examining some of the latest techniques available to insurers. It will include practical sessions on cognitive interviewing techniques and voice-stress analysis.
